Pitt-Bradford to host Norman Rockwell collection
On Friday a reception for the opening of the Campbells’ exhibit titled “Norman Rockwell: A Personal Collection” will be held at the KOA Art Gallery in Blaisdell Hall at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
The reception will follow a lecture at 7:30 p.m. by a speaker.
The exhibit, 11 original pieces of Rockwell artwork from the Campbells’ personal collection, will be displayed through Nov. 7 and will be the first of its kind in the region. The reception is free and open to the public and will be followed by a lecture at 7:30 p.m. by a guest speaker. People planning to attend are asked to contact the Office of Conference Services at (814) 362-0990 or send an e-mail to colosimo@exchange.upb.pitt.edu.
For the Campbells, who are natives of Bradford and alumni of Pitt-Bradford, the exhibit is a way of honoring their hometown college.
